Room Hire

Room Hire bookings now being taken for 2026

One of Kendal’s most popular venues for room hire

Kendal Meeting House is a popular venue for room hire throughout the year for day time and evenings. Conveniently situated close to the town centre with easy access to car parks, bus and railway stations. Our small car park is available for the organiser and people with access needs.

The grade 2* listed building, designed by local architect Francis Webster in 1816. Built on land bought by Quakers for their first Meeting House in 1687. The site is a place of Quaker Worship, for over 300 years. The Meeting House is one of the finest Georgian buildings in Cumbria.

It has been a pleasure to partner with Quaker Tapestry who have provided meeting room space to deliver DVSA Theory Testing in Kendal. Always very accommodating and welcoming, the team always endeavoured to support our representatives on site and have provided excellent facilities in which to conduct DVSA Theory Tests
