George Fox at Ulverston: healing

When George Fox returned to Ulverston later in 1652 he was attacked by a mob encouraged by Priest Lampitt. He was dragged to the common and beaten with sticks and clubs. Despite this he did not condemn his attackers and later made light of his injuries. His true healing was “in the love of God to them all that had persecuted me”.
