Volunteering
Volunteering at the Quaker Tapestry is a very rewarding experience. You can meet new people and share your knowledge with others. You will learn new skills, make new friends, have fun and share the fascinating stories within the Quaker Tapestry.
Take on a challenge this year – we would love to hear from you if you are interested in volunteering with us. Our volunteers are vital to the success of the Quaker Tapestry and to the enjoyment of our visitors.

Welcoming visitors
Volunteers help us in many different ways and without them we would not be able to provide the superb service that visitors enjoy so much.
Have a look at the Volunteer Blog posts to get an idea of what our volunteers are getting up to.
Volunteers help to make our visitor experience so special. Volunteering as an Museum Steward involves:
- Welcoming visitors to the museum
- Processing admissions
- Processing shop sales
Shifts are 9.45am – 1pm or 1pm – 5pm, with a complimentary cuppa provided for you during your tea break
We would love to hear from you if you are interested in volunteering with us
