Little Harvest Mouse Greetings Card

Send a little bit of stitched beauty with our Harvest Mouse greetings card.

The detail of the Quaker Tapestry, and its inspired embroidery designs, reproduces beautifully in our cards.

The illustration of the little Harvest mouse within a summer field location with poppies and oxeye daisies, is taken from an original hand-stitched embroidery by Bridget Guest and inspired by the Quaker Tapestry stitches and techniques. The Harvest Mouse is well camouflaged within the ears of wheat but can you also spot the other little creatures on the card? There is a bee, a tiny ladybird, a butterfly and a snail.

Bridget Guest, designer of the Harvest Mouse embroidery, says…“I was inspired to create this design after teaching myself some of the cotton embroidery known as white-on-white ‘Mountmellick’ work. Based around hedgerow flowers and grasses I added a little harvest mouse, with a Quaker Stitch tail, for interest. I wondered what the white work would look like in colour using the Quaker Tapestry techniques… so here it is!”

This Harvest Mouse card measuring 180mm x 125mm with envelope is blank inside and suitable for many occasions.

This design is also available as an embroidery kit, a pack of five notecards, a key ring and fridge magnet.
