Room hire

One of Kendal’s most popular venues for room hire

The Quaker Tapestry is a stunning and informative museum located in Kendal. The tapestry tells the story of Quakers in 77 embroidered panels covering over 350 years of social history.

The exhibition displays over 40 of the panels, with changing special exhibitions, family activities, videos and audio guides to explore.

Our shop has something for everyone, from mementos and gifts to books, equipment and workshops to take your embroidery to the next level. Our fully accessible café serves a selection of home cooked meals, light bites, cakes, hot and cold drinks.

Book online today, or buy your ticket in person. We look forward to sharing the stories behind the stitches.

We were entranced not only by the Tapestry panels and the social history on display but also by the ambience of the Meeting House, the interpretation and information made available to us. It is a very good memory for us.
