Cooperation Donkeys Greetings Card

Send a little bit of stitched beauty with our Cooperation Donkeys design.

The detail of the Quaker Tapestry, and its inspired embroidery designs, reproduces beautifully in our cards.

Quakers have always seen peace as something to be worked for at any time.  The two donkeys idea originally came from a peace poster.

Bridget Guest, designer of the Cooperation Donkeys embroidery, says…

“This design was adapted from the Quaker Tapestry panel F16 Peace Embassies. Anne Wynn Wilson (founder of Quaker Tapestry) once said that embroidering animals was quite simple, especially when they have hair. You just imagine yourself stroking the animal and that will tell you which way their hair grows and that is what you embroider. When I embroidered these Donkeys I imagined that their hair was coarse and strong so in my imagination I used a horse brush to stroke mine! I thought that the hair around the face and tail would be softer so I have created a fluffier texture here.”

Size 148mm x 148mm full colour card with envelope. Quaker Tapestry greetings cards are blank inside, suitable for many occasions.

This design is also available as an embroidery kit, a fridge magnet, a keyring, a bookmark
