Due to the continuing development of the Coronavirus situation, the Quaker Tapestry Museum is closed at the moment. The health and wellbeing of both our visitors and our staff is our priority.

Reopening date!  We are excited to announce that from the 26th August 2020 we will be open every Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm (last admission 4pm) (Closed for lunch from 12.30pm to 1pm)

We have been planning our reopening strategies, writing risk assessments and procedures and putting these new systems into place.  We are learning from museums and attractions already open around the world on how they are managing with new ways to keep us all safe.

A virtual tour of the museum is now available for you to explore on The Museum page. In the quiet of the museum discover a flavour of what the museum has to offer.

The online shop for mail order books, cards, kits and gifts is open now as usual.

We thank you for your patience and your continued support for The Quaker Tapestry Museum during this public health crisis.

“Brilliant, in many ways. I love embroidery, so thought this would just be interesting to see, but found it was incredibly informative not just about individual Quakers but how much they have done in our society.”

Well worth the entrance fee for the educational aspects alone!
