77. World Family of Friends
< back to panels
From Britain, Quakerism quickly spread to continental Europe, the West Indies, and North America, and has now spread all over the world. The oak tree, like the prism in the first panel, symbolises unity in diversity; the many expressions of Quakerism around the world all having the same roots. The bottom part of the panel shows how friendship builds bridges between different traditions within Quakerism – and beyond.
