Visit the Quaker Tapestry Museum
20th February 2017 – 9th December 2017
The visual impact and beauty of the award winning Quaker Tapestry is inspirational. Often compared with the 11th century Bayeux Tapestry, this modern masterpiece of storytelling is a celebration of life, people and events across the centuries. A myriad of stories are revealed from within the set of 77 captivating and colourful embroidery panels, (over 40 panels can be seen at Kendal).
At the Quaker Tapestry Museum in Kendal our informative audio guides narrate the stories with lots of added information about each panel. We also have interactive subsidiary displays featuring artefacts and films.
