12th August 2017

10am- 1pm at Friends House, 173-177 Euston Road, NW1 2BJ (opposite Euston train station)

This three hour workshop provides you with a whistle-stop tour of the six basic stitches used within the Quaker Tapestry: Stem, Split, Chain, Quaker, Bayeux Point and Peking Knot.

In a relaxed and friendly environment Bridget will guide you through the stitches and help you work towards an embroidered picture to finish at home.

You don’t need to have any experience in embroidery before you attend the workshop and those who have done some stitching before always seem to learn something new and use this as an opportunity to refresh their skills.

At the time of this workshop the Quaker Tapestry Roadshow exhibition will be in a larger room next door in the same building!  So when you’ve had a go at the stitching and discovered how it was made you will see the embroidery on the Tapestry panels in much more detail – with educated eyes!
