14th September 2019

Saturday 14th of September is National Lacemaking Day. We are thrilled to be having a lacemaking demonstration of this intricate and ancient textile art.

Donna and Rachel are both members of South Lakeland Lacemakers

During the day they will be creating lace pieces in our entrance hallway whilst chatting to visitors about their craft.

This is a FREE event in our hallway, there’s no need to book just pop in and take a look at their beautiful work.

Whilst you’re here…

Why not take a look at what 4,000 men women and children from 15 countries created? The museum will be open 10am-5pm with admission tickets at our usual prices.
