One-day workshops at the Exhibition Centre in Kendal

The programme of the day: The workshop begins after coffee at 10am and during the day you will be treated to demonstrations, practical sessions, a guided tour of the Exhibition and many stories and amusinng anecdotes of the Tapestry and its life so far. We provide a simple vegetarian lunch of soup, bread and cheese, fresh fruit and coffee. The workshop finishes with a cup of tea at the end of the afternoon (about 4pm). The Exhibition is open until 5pm. There is no need for specialist equipment, all materials for the day will be provided for you and they are included in the course fees. |
The Foundation Course (one-day course)

This course is especially designed for those who have never before experienced the techniques used in the 'Narrative crewel embroidery' as seen in the Quaker Tapestry. The Foundation Course can accommodate equally the experienced embroiderer and those who have had very little embroidery experience. |

The Stage Two Course (one-day course)

In order to attend this course you must have completed the Foundation Course. This course is designed to take you a stage further in the Quaker Tapestry style and technique and aims to develop your skills with Quaker Stitch including the popular letter style. |
