With step free access from our Stramongate entrance, and full access for wheelchair users, we positively welcome individuals and groups with specific needs. Assistance dogs are welcome too, of course.

Access for All

A copy of our Access Statement can be downloaded here.

Disabled Parking

We have dedicated parking for visitors with disabilities so please telephone ahead of your visit and we will be happy to reserve a parking place in our on-site car park and arrange for a member of staff to be on hand to offer any assistance.

Mobility

We also have a long-standing arrangement with the ‘Shop Mobility' centre in Kendal to have a mobility scooter on site for visitors with mobility problems to use within the Exhibition Centre.

Audio Guides

The South Lakeland Society for the Blind was actively involved in the development of the scripts for our new audio guides and introductory film so visually impaired visitors can expect a vivid description of the panels. The headphones and hand held audio guides have their own volume controls.
