All aboard for Quakers and the Railways! Have you been to see the new display at the Quaker Tapestry Exhibition? Find out about how Quakers were involved in the building of the Stockton to Darlington Railway which opened on 27th September 1825. The Barrett Friendship Quilt Display

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of its completion, an embroidered Victorian Friendship Quilt with intriguing connections to the 19th century art world was displayed for the first time in April 2009 at The Quaker Tapestry Exhibition Centre in Kendal.
