The 2-day Foundation or Refresher Course
This workshop can accommodate equally the experienced embroiderer and those who have had no embroidery experience.Within the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the workshop students will receive demonstration and tuition in the six stitches and techniques used to create the Quaker Tapestry.The two-day course will give students the knowledge and confidence to complete their embroidery workshop kit.
The 3-day Lettering & Design Course
In order to attend this workshop you must have completed the Foundation course.This course is designed to take you a stage further in the Quaker Tapestry style and technique and aims to develop your skill in narrative crewel work. Students will discover how the tapestry panels were designed and how these techniques can be used to create your own designs for embroidery.
The 3-day Embellishment Course
In order to attend this workshop you must have completed the Foundation course.This workshop has been designed to follow on from the Foundation course.Students will discover how the tapestry panels were embellished and how these techniques can be used to inspire you with your own embroidery.
The course fee includes VAT, tuition, lunch, refreshments, and a choice of sewing kit with all the materials needed to complete the embroidery.
Most of the workshops are held at the Exhibition Centre in Kendal
